Alcohol reduction in an electric kiln is demonstrated during the workshop. Multiple methods of reduction firing including using a traditional gas kiln or a portable raku kiln are discussed.

Workshop description:

Lisa discusses the chemistry of luster glazes, multiple methods of post fire reduction and how she approaches glaze testing and development. She shares her results from extensive testing and experimentation.

Lisa’s process involves an initial firing of the in-glaze luster to cone 6 in an electric kiln, followed by a secondary alcohol-drip reduction. Watch as in person attendees apply luster glazes, load the reduction firing, and undoubtedly see how incredibly variable these glazes are.

You will receive a password protected dropbox link that includes:

Full Video of 2 1/2 day workshop

PDF of slide deck

12 glaze formulas + more in presentation

Workshop download will be sent automatically after purchase.

No refunds.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0903/3803/3985/files/Screenshot2026-10-30at8.26.08PM_bca7fa8e-ae19-42f9-9f0c-c2b936d0e38c.png?v=1793406464
